Contribute New and Gently Used Coats for our Youngest Community Members

Welcome Baby’s annual winter coat drive is on! Last year, the 2nd Annual Welcome Baby Coat Drive yielded 350 coats, 87 hats, 82 pairs of gloves and 18 scarfs. We want to outdo last year’s collection and provide more warm coats in what is expected to be a cold winter.

Durham County Cooperative Extension’s Welcome Baby Program, will collect coats, hats, gloves and scarves until December 31st to keep our youngest community members warm this winter. The coats will be offered to families in need through Welcome Baby’s Giving Closet.

Items for collection are needed in sizes newborn to 7/8 years.

Drop off locations for this year’s drive include:

  • Durham County Cooperative Extension: 712 Foster Street
  • Durham County Main Library: 300 N. Roxboro Street
  • South Regional Library 4505 S. Alston Ave
  • North Regional Library 221 Milton Road
  • Southwest Regional Library 3605 Shannon Road
