Black Girls Code comes to the Triangle--May 27 from 6-8:30pm

Black Girls Code is opening a Triangle chapter. The organization offers programming to teach coding to young women of color (Black, Latina and Native American).  It is a fantastic opportunity.  The opening event appears to be full, but we understand you can contact them directly at the email links on the registration information to see about participating.

Black Girls CODE is a nonprofit organization whose mission has transformed to a global movement to give young girls of color, age 7-17, the tools to become inventors, leaders and creators of their own future in the world’s technology economy. To date they have educated and introduced computer programming to over 3,000 girls of color.

The opening event is May 27 in the American Underground on 201 West Main St and registration is here. When you click on the registration link you will see more information about the event, including contact information and a video.
