STEM Career Showcase for Students with Disabilities--October 9th




Connect your students with role models who have disabilities and are thriving in their STEM careers. The STEM Career Showcase for Students With Disabilities will leave attendees with the inspiration to pursue STEM careers and some practical ideas for doing so.

STEM Career Showcase
Friday, October 9, 2015
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

A panel of role models will talk about:
  • The evolving landscape of STEM fields.
  • Overcoming the stigma associated with disabilities.
  • Learning the skills required for a successful academic and professional career.
Attendees will also have the chance to speak one-to-one with various STEM organizations about ways to gain experience in the field.

Registration is open now until October 2. Transportation grants are available through an application process.
